About the role

NABRICO Marine Products, Inc., is a leading manufacturer of barges used in U.S. inland waterways. The company produces dry cargo barges, tank barges, and fiberglass hopper barge covers. Operate mechanical or CNC equipment, including milling machines and lathes, to produce metal parts.

Responsibilities

• Operate mechanical or CNC equipment, including milling machines and lathes, to produce metal parts
• Prepare by checking specifications and blueprints, calculating how to shape the material, and setting equipment controls
• Monitor speed and heat of machining equipment
• Use blueprints and design sketches to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels of the finished product
• Follow all safety rules and practices
• May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Operate HAAS and Mazak CNC lathes and mills

Requirements

• Certified in CNC or 2 to 5 years of previous equipment operation experience a plus
• An understanding of shop math and the ability to read and verify specifications
