Machinist Mechanic
Job Responsibilities
Maintain, repair, & overhaul process rotating machinery in a safe & efficient manner in both a shop and field environment.
Set-up and operate machine tools to manufacture and repair parts to specifications using, Manual & CNC Lathes, Vertical & Horizontal Mills, Cylindrical & Surface grinders.
Able to use precision measuring equipment (Micrometers, Calipers, Protractors, & Indicators).
Interpreting tolerances and dimensions from drawings, sketches, & engineering documents.
Operate various shop support equipment. (Saws, Forklifts, Overhead Cranes, Hydraulic presses, Bearing Heaters, Torches, Etc.)

Participation in callout coverage
Occasionally an altered work schedule over an extended period may be required (maintenance outages and turnarounds) - Physical Requirements:
Climb ladders
Walk up and down steps
Lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to Work in the Following Conditions:
Work at heights
Work in compact and confined spaces
Work outside in inclement weather
Work while wearing a respirator, Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR), or Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA)
Work in areas requiring hearing protection

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 4+ years Machinist/Mechanical Journeyman level work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Possess one of the following certifications in a Mechanical discipline:
- Union or Company Apprenticeship
- Trade School
- Journeyman level Machinist
- Previous refinery or chemical plant experience
Conditions of Employment
- Passing of pre-employment testing
- Successful completion of pre-employment requirements including physical agility test, physical, background check, and drug/alcohol screening

$55.33 an hour based on qualification requirements in the CBA
