About the role
As a Machinist – Level 3 at Honeywell, you will ensure machining processes run efficiently, safely, and to quality standards while optimizing production schedules. You will lead a team of technicians and collaborate across departments to meet production goals and customer requirements, applying advanced machining expertise to maintain and improve manufacturing operations and deliver superior products.
Responsibilities
- Operate and program CNC machines to produce precision parts per engineering drawings and specifications.
- Perform setup, calibration, and adjustments to maintain optimal performance and quality output.
- Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality, making necessary corrections to meet standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes and resolve machining issues.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a skilled machinist with advanced knowledge of CNC machine operation and programming.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials to produce high-quality parts.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Familiarity with machine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure continuous operation.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or technical certification in machining or manufacturing technology preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in a machining role within a manufacturing environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet production goals.
- Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a machine shop setting.
