Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe work environment and keep work area clean and organized
- Set up, adjust, and operate CNC Lathe machine tools and many specialized or advanced variations of tools to perform precision machining
- Manage daily operations to include cutting Rolling Mill rolls, spray welding roll passes, overseeing lathe maintenance/tooling and inventory
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for each job
- Ability to recall specifics, methods, and processes
- Comprehend and apply standards and procedures
- Perform additional duties as needed
Requirements
- Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with excellent strong work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Ability to work with exposure to extremes in temperature, chemical, dust fumes and mists, uneven surfaces, loud noise, elevated work areas, and confined spaces
- Basic computer skills
- Dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs
- Must be able to learn quickly and multitask
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Some overtime will be required
- Work on a rotating shift which may include weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand for duration of a shift, up to 12 hours; frequent physical activity such as walking, climbing stairs or reaching to work with equipment throughout the entire shift
