About the role
The Role: Our site in Colorado Springs is seeking a Machinist III to join our team. As a machinist in the Extreme Ultraviolet (EUV) production department, you are an essential part in helping Entegris be part of the future of Innovation. The EUV department produces EUV pods that are utilized by our customers during their manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and optimize CNC machining equipment, including Makino, Haas, and other CNC platforms, to produce high‑precision components
- Safely set up and operate manual 3‑axis equipment (lathe, mill, saw), including correct tooling installation, surface finishing, and dimensional verification
- Perform complete machine setups, utilizing single‑block and rapid override functions during setup to observe and validate step‑by-step operations
- Troubleshoot machining and dimensional issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to maintain product quality and throughput
- Support and mentor machine operators by providing technical guidance on machining processes, tooling, and setup best practices
- Monitor production throughout the manufacturing process, proactively identifying and resolving issues that may impact quality, yield, or efficiency
- Inspect finished and in‑process parts using precision measuring tools and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) to verify conformance to specifications
- Utilize camLine software and related systems to document inspections, update production data, and track work order progress
- Interpret G‑code and M‑code and apply programming knowledge to support standard machining operations and troubleshooting activities
- Generate and maintain hour‑by‑hour production tracking, including output, downtime, tooling changes, and critical process information
- Maintain accurate and timely updates across manufacturing systems, including work orders, master cycle sheets (MCS), and related documentation
- Participate in 5S, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives, fostering accountability and operational excellence within the machining area
- Follow ergonomic, safety, and PPE requirements at all times to maintain a safe and compliant work environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support team objectives and organizational goals
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or equivalent experience preferred
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or precision machining environment
- Demonstrated ability to set up and operate at least two CNC machine platforms (Makino, Haas, Mori)
- Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting G‑code and M‑code
- Working knowledge of CNC programming fundamentals with the ability to troubleshoot minor program or code‑related issues
- Prowess in mechanical aptitude with strong machine troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- Experience using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively
- Ability to execute machining processes within tight tolerances, with a strong focus on quality and precision
- Proficiency with measurement and inspection tools, including CMMs, and familiarity with related software
- Solid computer skills, including data entry and production tracking, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Understanding of manufacturing systems and transactions, including MD04, and the judgment to determine when early job termination is appropriate
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to documented processes, quality standards, and safety requirements
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team environment
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, operational excellence, and workplace safety
Qualifications
