Machinist II (Contract to hire) -2nd Shift

Employment Type: Contract on W2 (Need US Citizens Or GC Holders Only)
Essential / Key Job Responsibilities
- Own basic hand tools required for machinist trade.
- Basic program, set up, and operate CNC mill, lathe, and basic shop powered tools.
- Read drawings, follow verbal instructions, and utilize basic mathematical skills to complete required tasks.
- Inspect own work using standard measuring tools such as calipers, micrometer, and pin gages.
- Maintain a current status in field of expertise through continuing education and applicable trade shows.
- Work with SolidWorks solid models to create control programs for machines.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years’ experience in machining and CAM programming.
- Ability to set up and operate CNC mills and lathes.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings with GD&T per ASME 14.5.
- Knowledge of various metals, plastics, machine shop operations.
- Effective time management.
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- CAMWorks and SolidWorks experience.
Education and/or Experience
- Trade school certification desired, but not required
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use sight, and use hands to manipulate, handle or feel objects, tools, controls, and office equipment.
- The employee frequently is required to verbally communicate with other associates.
- The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel or crouch.
Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be in an open machine shop environment.
- Candidate must be able to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
