Machinist II

Responsibilities

• Perform all the duties of a Machinist I.
• Handle non-standard set-ups.
• Operate a manual lathe, including single point threading.
• Operate a manual mill.
• Apply fundamentals of cutting: speeds and feeds, blade selection, etc.
• Verify accuracy of machined parts against blueprints or engineering drawings using inspection tooling and gauges.
• Perform basic quality control measurements and inspections on machined parts.
• Use SolidWorks software to manipulate 3D solid part files.
• Use Mastercam software.
• Complete all other assigned tasks.

Requirements

• 2-year Technical Degree preferred.
• 3 years of manual machining experience preferred.
• Own machinist tools.
• Ability to follow verbal and written work instructions.
• Ability to understand and operate within safety guidelines and policies.
• Work in a highly functioning team environment.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

Standard production/manufacturing environment.

• Extended periods of standing.
• Occasional walking, stooping, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
