Machinist II
About the role
We’re seeking an Experienced Machinist II for 1st and 2nd shifts. We’re offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus, paid over two years, plus a 12% shift differential for 2nd shift.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operates CNC lathes and/or Milling machines and related equipment where programs, fixtures, and methods have been developed.
- Work with our Engineers and Programmers to make all edits and adjustments as required to produce parts to work orders/blueprint specifications/sketches.
- The ability to operate more than one machine in a cellular environment is required.
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of feeds and speeds and a working knowledge of cutting tools and their application.
- Inspects work for all dimensional features as required.
- Produces quality and quantity of work in accordance with Company requirements.
- Responsible for accurately completing paperwork relating to counts, scrap, time, etc. according to Company policy.
- Performs duties always exercising good machining practices.
- Maintains area, equipment, and tooling in a neat, safe, orderly condition including operator maintenance sheets.
- Maintains coolant tanks and fills as necessary.
- Trains, guides, and assists other employees as required.
- Observes all Company policies, rules, and regulations including good housekeeping, safety, and security.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or equivalent; trade school preferred.
- 4-7 years or more as CNC/ VMC Machinist Operator.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Able to understand and follow instructions in English.
- Able to understand and interpret blueprints and sketches.
- Understanding of G and M Codes.
- Excellent Interpersonal skills.
- Troubleshooting skills.
- Willingness to attend off-site training and be willing to learn.
Working Conditions
- Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
- Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
- Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to travel between locations or to suppliers up to 25% of time.
