Machinist II
About the role
The Machinist II will perform various machining tasks such as grinding, turning, and milling to tight tolerances, minimize scrap and rework, perform periodic maintenance (PMs), lead machine safety and workplace compliance, maintain an inventory of tooling and fixtures, and work effectively with vendors for tooling acquisition.
Responsibilities
- Operate multiple CNC and conventional machines and/or equipment
- Evaluate equipment needs and ensure suitable replacement parts are available
- Make process suggestions for programming new and existing products
- Prioritize production orders or processing requirements and respond accordingly
- Setup, run, inspect, and clean orders as needed
- Train other employees on proper equipment operation and/or setup
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- NIMS/Journeyman/Trade School Certification preferred
- 4+ years of experience with CNC and conventional machines and equipment
- Knowledge of product quality concepts, ISO principles, and GD&T
- Intermediate computer skills, including SAP or similar ERP systems and MS Office
- Working knowledge of Quality Assurance principles and Metrology
Qualifications
- Export compliance eligibility required for access to U.S. controlled technology
- Must meet U.S. citizenship, legal permanent residency, asylum, refugee, or other qualifying criteria
Skills
- Ability to operate multiple CNC and conventional machines
- Ability to prioritize and manage production orders
- Intermediate computer skills
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance principles and Metrology

- $2,000 Sign-on Bonus paid after 30 days of employment

Schedule
- 1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 5:00 am - 1:30 pm
- 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 1:00 pm - 9:30 pm
