Machinist II

About the Role

Bailey International is a forward-thinking company dedicated to excellence in Sales Operations and Supply Chain management, specializing in engineering, manufacturing, and sourcing hydraulic and electronic control solutions for industries like agriculture, construction, and transportation. This Machinist II position safely and accurately operates CNC or manual machines to fabricate tubes, rods, and components used in hydraulic cylinders. The role involves setting up and operating production equipment, monitoring output for quality, and maintaining production records. This is an intermediate-level position (A02) requiring 1-3 years of related experience, working under moderate supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operates a CNC machine to fabricate tubes, rods, and components
• Operates a manual machine for fabrication
• Reads mechanical drawings for components, tubes, and rods and makes needed calculations
• Interprets instructions and responds to management’s direction
• Uses quality control equipment, such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers
• Ensures preventive maintenance is conducted as necessary
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency and attention to detail
• Selects and uses appropriate equipment, supplies, and tools
• Maintains equipment daily
• Follows safety and security policies and procedures and reports any unsafe conditions
• Maintains a clean work environment
• Adheres to Five “S” standards and procedures

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to independently set up and run two or more of either CNC Lathe, CNC Mill, program Mazatrol and G-Code, or rework/fabricate complete parts on manual lathe/mill
• Conversational programming experience
• Preferred experience in a production environment

Schedule

Weekend shift: Friday–Sunday, 5:30 AM – 6:00 PM.
