About the role

To support the Huntington Beach, CA forming department by etching, honing, checking in tools and maintaining a clean and organized shop.

Responsibilities

• Work on OD grinding machines - training to be provided.
• Identify and sort cutting tools.
• Operate etching and honing machine.
• Clean and polish tools.
• Learn new skills and cross train into other departments.
• Back up shipping department.
• Follow standard procedures and work instructions, paying special attention to handling sharp edge cutting tools.
• Maintain documentation of professional achievements and growth within provided resources to actively participate in our progressive review process with supervisor.
• Maintain 5S and a neat and clean work area.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints is a plus.
• Ability to use and understand measuring & inspection equipment.
• Effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written.
• Basic Computer Skills Required.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and ability to multi-task.
• Dedicated to being at work and on time (attendance).
• Works as a team player, cooperative and adaptable to changes; builds positive relationships.
• Machining experience a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Requires lifting, pushing, pulling up to 30lbs.
• Frequent walking, reaching, handling, grasping, using hands to handle or feel, and turning/twisting.
• Occasionally required to stoop, bend, or sit.
• Also requires close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
