About the role
Körber Technologies, Inc., a Sales and Service Company serving the North American Tobacco Industry, has an outstanding career opportunity available for a Machinist to join our team. As a Machinist you will be working in the Parts Manufacturing/Inspection department to produce parts meeting specifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform diversified machining operations including set up
- Work with minimal supervision, with or without process sheet information
- Have working knowledge of computers
- Ensure quality workmanship by performing assigned duties independently
- Use necessary precision measuring equipment ensuring acceptable functionality of parts or assemblies
- Determine and use the proper tools for each assignment
- Keep all equipment and work areas clean, and perform all activities in a safe manner
- Move material within the department by use of a hand truck or other material handling device
- Report malfunction of equipment to supervisor, and perform all other duties as assigned
Requirements
- You are a high school graduate with completion of a state-certified Apprenticeship program as a Machinist
- You have a minimum of five years of experience as a Machinist
- Experience operating CNC and manual lathes (0.5”–15” diameters), as well as CNC and manual mills, grinders, and drill presses
- Able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds up to four times per hour
- Good eyesight for use of precision measuring instruments
- Ability to remain on feet for eight-hour shift
