About the role
This position is responsible for setting up and operating the full range of machine tools in the machine shop. Machines could include numerically controlled machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses, hobs, hones, kummers, burnishers or balancers.
Responsibilities
- Read, interpret and understand blueprints and operation sheets.
- Perform functions to set up and operate standard types of machines to complete single or progressive operations on standard parts.
- Maintain working knowledge of shop math, ability to read blueprints, and understanding of operation sheets.
- Use a wide variety of precision measuring instruments.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 year of hands-on Machining experience required; 2–4 years Machining experience preferred.
- Completion of Technical School training preferred.
- Must be a US Citizen.
Skills
- Working knowledge of shop math.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand operation sheets.
- Proficiency with a wide variety of precision measuring instruments.

This position is located 100% onsite at our Black Mountain, NC facility. Relocation assistance is not available.
