Machinist B-2 - 2nd shift

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the full range of machine tools in the machine shop, including numerically controlled machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses, hobs, hones, kummers, burnishers, or balancers.
• Read, interpret, and understand blueprints and operation sheets.
• Perform functions to set up and operate standard types of machines to complete single or progressive operations on standard parts.
• May assist less experienced machinists.
• Use a wide variety of precision measuring instruments.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of 2-year Technical School training preferred.
• 3 years of hands-on shop or manufacturing experience required, 4-6 years of machining experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of shop math, ability to read blueprints, and understanding of operation sheets.
• Must be a US Citizen.
