Machinist B-2 - 2nd shift

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the full range of machine tools in the machine shop.
• Machines could include numerically controlled machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses, hobs, hones, kummers, burnishers, or balancers.
• May assist less experienced machinists.
• Must have working knowledge of shop math, ability to read blueprints, and understand operation sheets.
• Use a wide variety of precision measuring instruments.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of 2-year Technical School training preferred.
• 3 years of hands-on shop or manufacturing experience required, 4-6 years of machining experience preferred.
• Must have working knowledge of shop math, ability to read blueprints, and understand operation sheets.
• Completion of Technical School training preferred.
• Must be a US Citizen.

Skills

• Reads, interprets, and understands blueprints and operation sheets.
• Performs functions to set up and operate standard types of machines to complete single or progressive operations on standard parts.
• Uses a wide variety of precision measuring instruments.
