Machinist

Job Duties

• Inspects own work to prints and uses time management skills.
• Maximizes set-ups and tooling of present and future jobs, utilizes cycle time for additional operations and works at a speed necessary to exceed rates the majority of the time.
• Maintains an exceptional level of quality according to standards on all parts.
• Sets up and operates machines independently.
• Performs some preventive and corrective maintenance duties as requested.
• May assist in training cell personnel when asked to do so.
• Meets safety and good 5S practices.
• Follows all quality procedures and achieves line of sight requirements.
• Able to work within a team.

Essential Job Functions

• Able to load a part into a machine, run the machine, remove the part and inspect.
• Meets quality expectations.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Good Communication Skills.
• Regular and consistent attendance.

Education, Experience

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar shop setting.

Compensation Information

The pay rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience. The range for this position is: $22.00 – $28.00 per hour.
