Machinist

About the role

Operate horizontal boring mill (HBM) and similar equipment at Copley Service Center.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual equipment
• Clean and deburr jobs as necessary
• Perform final inspection of features using precision measuring equipment
• Attach seals and protective covers as required
• Operate crane or assist with the rigging and moving of large parts
• Clean and lubricate machines
• Notify supervisor of needed machine maintenance
• Clean own work area
• Verify identity and scope of material/jobs
• Maintain necessary records and complete process documentation and other production and inspection records
• Work from drawings, sketches, process sheets, and other forms of verbal and written communication
• Work in accordance with all customer, code, and quality control requirements
• Conform to all applicable company procedures, policies, and rules
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of machining
• Fork lift truck and crane experience
• Ability to read basic drawings and bills of material
• MUST have valid driver’s license
