Machinist – 2nd Shift – MB Airport

Responsibilities

- Read blueprints, sketches, and computer-aided design (CAD) and computer aidedmanufacturing (CAM) files. - Take precise measurements for cutting or shaping. - Select appropriate machine and settings for a given task. - Operate machines like lathes and milling machines. - Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy. - Present finished workpieces for Quality Dept Inspections and make modifications as needed. - Set up and operate CNC mills, CNC lathes, manual mills and manual lathes. - Follow job related materials, work instructions and set up sheets. - Design and construct templates and fixtures upon receiving approval from supervisor. - Operate an overhead crane and forklift.

Qualifications

- Ability to work from established layout and follow sequence of operations. - Able to enter information into established computer system, production records, logs, time clock, and other forms. - Can verify conformance of work piece to specifications. - Ability to use and read tape measures, dial calipers, micrometers and bore micrometers. - Read and interpret manufacturing blueprints.
