Machinist-2nd Shift

About the role

Steady 2nd Shift position for a CNC/Manual Machinist with 1+ years of machining experience, including both manual and CNC operations. Vertical and Horizontal Lathe experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform set-ups and operations on various machines, including:
  • CNC Horizontal Mills (Heidenhain Control)
  • CNC Vertical Mills (Fanuc Control)
  • CNC Vertical Lathe (Siemens Control)
  • CNC Horizontal Lathe (Siemens Control)
  • CNC Horizontal Lathe (Fanuc Control)
  • Manual Vertical Mill (Bridgeport)
  • Manual Vertical Lathe (6 Foot)
  • Manual Horizontal Mill (Supermill)
  • Horizontal Lathe (Poreba)
• Use measuring devices such as tape measure, inside/outside micrometers, calipers, and depth micrometers.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Apply good math skills in daily tasks.
• Work collaboratively and follow directions.
• Maintain excellent attendance.
• Prioritize safety by being aware of surroundings and reporting unsafe conditions immediately.
• Understand hazard communications and job-specific hazards before starting work.
• Follow basic safety policies and procedures.
• Perform clean-up duties.
• Operate a fork truck (training provided on-site).
• Operate a crane safely (training provided on-site), including:
  • Locating disconnect switches
  • Performing crane inspections before use
  • Inspecting straps and chains before use
  • Checking all rigging before performing lifts
• Lift equipment safely.
