Shift: 2nd Shift | Monday - Friday | 7:30 PM - 6:00 AM
About the role
We are seeking experienced 2nd Shift CNC Machinists to support high-volume manufacturing operations in a technologically advanced production environment. This role is responsible for operating CNC and PLC-controlled equipment to produce precision components while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with CNC machining, manufacturing automation, and troubleshooting production equipment in a fast-paced industrial setting.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC and PLC-controlled machinery to manufacture high-quality precision components.
- Monitor equipment performance and production processes using computerized systems and production data.
- Respond to machine faults, perform troubleshooting, and make minor repairs as needed to minimize downtime.
- Conduct tooling changes and monitor tool wear to maintain quality standards.
- Document quality issues, scrap, and rework activities in accordance with established procedures.
- Verify compliance with operating procedures, control plans, and quality standards.
- Enter defect and production data into company systems and maintain accurate records.
- Review equipment conditions proactively and identify potential production issues before they impact operations.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on process efficiency, quality, and error-proofing.
- Train and support other machine technicians to ensure adherence to operational standards.
- Follow all safety procedures and utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 3 years of CNC machining experience.
- Ability to work any shift as needed.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Ability to successfully complete a skills-based assessment and interview process.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical certificate in Machine Tool Technology or a related field.
- Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Metal-cutting machining experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T.
- Experience operating production machinery and automated manufacturing equipment.
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with production data systems.
- Results-oriented mindset with strong attention to quality and safety.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, and perform repetitive movements for up to 10-hour shifts.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, fumes, oils, grease, and other industrial conditions.
