MACHINIST 1 Mixed Model B shift M/T/W 7pm to 730am

About the role

Daniel Defense is seeking a Machinist 1 to join our Manufacturing Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery, ensuring product quality, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain machinery according to work instructions and safety protocols
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Perform setup and calibration tasks as needed
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine-related issues
• Inspect parts using precision measuring tools
• Aid in training new operators
• Participate in safety and quality improvement activities
• Work collaboratively with team members

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-4 years of manufacturing experience or relevant education
• Knowledge of GD&T, machine tool programming languages, and blueprint reading
• Ability to interpret machine tool programming languages
• Intermittent lifting up to 50 pounds
• Physical ability to work in a manufacturing environment

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree in CNC milling or lathe operations (optional but preferred)
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
