MACHINIST 1 - Aluminum Vert Haas M/T/W 7pm to 730am

About the role

Machinist 1 positions are available in the Manufacturing Department at Daniel Defense. We seek individuals who are passionate about building the best weapon systems and accessories for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain assigned machines and processes according to work instructions and safety protocols
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Perform setup and calibration tasks as needed
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues affecting production or quality
• Inspect parts using precision instruments and assist in monitoring process flow
• Train new machine operators and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Comply with environmental health and safety standards and demonstrate commitment to company values

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-4 years of manufacturing experience or a combination of education and relevant coursework (CNC mill or lathe)
• Working knowledge of GD&T, machine tool programming languages, and blueprint reading
• Ability to interpret machine tool programming languages and work with precision instruments
• Team-oriented and capable of working collaboratively with others
• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, sit, and bend throughout the workday

Qualifications

• Knowledge of metalworking tools and workholding techniques
• Ability to recognize and adhere to company values and safety policies

Skills

• Interpret machine tool programming languages
• Use precision instruments like micrometers, height gauges, calipers, and indicators
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Adapt to changing work environments and responsibilities
