MACHINIST 1 - Mixed Model - D shift Th/F/S 7pm to 730 am

About the role

Daniel Defense is seeking a Machinist 1 to join our Manufacturing Division. As a Machinist 1, you will be responsible for operating machines, maintaining cell productivity, and following all relevant work instructions, safety, and quality procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines and follow operator work instructions
• Maintain housekeeping and ensure machines, tools, and equipment are clean
• Perform setup and calibration tasks as needed
• Troubleshoot machine issues and clear alarms
• Inspect parts using precision instruments
• Aid in process flow and assist with training
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• Follow environmental health and safety policies

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 2-4 years of manufacturing experience or equivalent
• Two-year technical degree in CNC milling or lathe preferred
• Knowledge of GD&T, machine tool programming languages, and blueprint reading
• Ability to interpret machine tool programming languages and anticipate machine actions
• Interpersonal skills and teamwork abilities

Qualifications

• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, and bend throughout the workday
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Willingness to follow company values and safety protocols

Skills

• Machine tool programming languages (G & M codes)
• Blueprint reading
• Interpretation of machine tool programming languages
• Interpersonal and teamwork skills
