Responsibilities
- Perform machining of complex components for various customers
- Mentor less experienced machinists on programming, machine setup, tool selection, etc
- Work with engineering to prepare estimates for potential new work including materials and labor cost.
- Update customers on the status of work request.
- Determine materials needed for jobs and work with procurement personnel to obtain materials
- Fill in for Shop Supervisor as needed
- Recommend and specify new equipment/tooling/software for the machine shop
- Perform other shop support activities as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: HS (or Equiv) and 15+ years' experience in machining
- Associates Degree in Machine Tool Technology (or equivalent) and 10+ years’ experience in machining
- For ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, US Citizenship is Legally Required
