Machining Tech I, Single Spindle (2nd Shift)

About the role

This position is located in our Carson facility. Howmet Aerospace is a leading global provider of advanced engineered solutions for the aerospace and transportation industries, focusing on jet engine components, aerospace fastening systems, titanium structural parts, and forged wheels for commercial transportation.

Responsibilities

• Produce parts meeting drawing and specification requirements safely.
• Set up and operate assigned equipment.
• Perform statistical process control (SPC) measurements and calculations.
• Complete required forms or computer entries.
• Order and maintain inventory of tooling, gages, and supplies.
• Assemble tooling set-up kits, stage raw materials, and perform external setup tasks.
• Perform machine inspections, including daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance.
• Maintain shop floor housekeeping.
• Prepare daily production reports and forms.
• Use measurement instruments and interpret blueprints.
• Meet or exceed productivity and quality goals.
• Perform 5S daily to keep the work area clean.
• Follow directions, learn Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) and SPC procedures.
• Perform other tasks as needed to support the production team and team leader.
• Work safely to promote individual and environmental well-being.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; verification of employment eligibility will be required at hire. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $20.00 to $25.00 per hour.
