Machining Supervisor
About the role
Machining Supervisors oversee the production process in manufacturing facilities, ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently and safely. They are responsible for supervising a team of Machinists and ensuring that production targets are met.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the operation of machining equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Train and mentor Machinists to improve productivity and quality.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Resolve technical issues and troubleshoot machine malfunctions.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within manufacturing.
- Proficient in using CNC machines and other manufacturing tools.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
