About the role
Tessera is seeking a hardworking and helpful Machinery Maintenance Mechanic with a positive attitude.
Responsibilities
- Replace broken or defective parts with items obtained from stock, and order the production of a replacement part by a machine shop, or send the machine to a machine shop for major repairs
- Prepare written specifications for major repairs or for the production of parts ordered from machine shops
- Maintain high proficiency in and adhere to all Safety Procedures and Policies
- Utilize computers and/or handheld mobile devices for timekeeping, data entry, and to manage assigned work
Qualifications
- One (1) year of facilities maintenance experience required
- Proficiency in most semi-skilled tasks and all unskilled tasks
- Up to one year of equivalent experience credit may be allowed for trade/other formal training that supports the attainment of proficiency for semi-skilled and skilled work
- Must be able to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance
- The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis
Requirements
- A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance
- Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military ID, in accordance with the REAL ID Act
- Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access
