Machine Tool Trainee - January 2027

We need to output HTML fragment with sections: About the role? Actually we need to use headings for sections like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Only include sections that have real specific content. We need to parse the posting. Content: Intro about Eastman (company description). Then eligibility requirements (students). Then program description. Then Job Description/Responsibilities (list). Then Education/Experience (list). Then Other Qualifications/Requirements (list). Also mention posting dates, program duration, etc. There's no explicit Benefits, Pay, Schedule. So we should not create those sections. We need headings: maybe "About the role" could contain program description? Or "Responsibilities" for duties. "Requirements" could combine eligibility, education/experience, other qualifications. "Qualifications" maybe similar. But we should avoid duplication. The instruction: Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones. So we could have sections: About the role (program overview), Responsibilities (duties), Requirements (eligibility, education, other qualifications). Possibly Skills (list of skills like shop math, blueprint reading, measuring tools, etc.) Could be separate but maybe combine. We need to use

for section headings. Use
  • for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. Use

for prose. We must not repeat job title as heading. No Job ID etc. We must preserve all substantive information, not invent or summarize away detail. So we need to include details like posting dates, program duration, college credit, etc. We need to remove boilerplate: EEO statement, navigation, etc. The EEO line at end: "Eastman is an equal opportunity employer..." should be removed as boilerplate. Also "For more information, visit www.eastman.com" maybe considered boilerplate? It's not navigation/legal/EEO but it's a link; maybe we can keep? It's not required but could be considered generic. Safer to remove? The instruction: Remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. The "For more information, visit www.eastman.com" is not exactly those, but could be considered navigation? It's a link to website; maybe keep as it's substantive? It's just a URL; not essential. Might be considered boilerplate? I'd remove it to be safe. Also "Posting Dates: This position will be posted until at least October 18th, 2026." That's substantive; keep. We need to include eligibility details: Must be current student or recent graduate within last 2 years of specific programs. Also need to upload transcripts. Program description: one-year opportunity, college credit, etc. Responsibilities list: many items. Education/Experience: HS diploma or GED required; must be recent graduate or enrolled etc.; must maintain good standing; must complete ACT Workkeys assessment with scores; etc. Other Qualifications/Requirements: valid driver's license, legally authorized to work, at least 18, perform essential elements, follow safety, wear PPE, strong work ethic, communication skills. We could combine Education/Experience and Other Qualifications into Requirements section. We need to avoid duplication: Some lines repeat HS diploma or GED required appears twice; we should include once. Also "Must be a recent graduate (within the last 2 years) or be currently enrolled and completed at least two semesters toward an Associates of Applied Science in Machine Tool Technology from NSCC, VHCC or have completed the Machinist I program at TCAT." That's similar to eligibility. We need to preserve all substantive info; we can combine but not lose detail. Let's craft sections:

    • Strong work ethic, demonstrating dependability, initiative & professional attitude
    • Clear, concise verbal & written communication skills
We should not include Benefits, Pay, Schedule sections. Check for any duplicated content: We have eligibility list and also mention transcripts; we kept that. Also we have "Must be a recent graduate (within the last 2 years) or be currently enrolled and completed at least two semesters toward an Associates of Applied Science in Machine Tool Technology from NSCC, VHCC or have completed the Machinist I program at TCAT." That's covered by eligibility list. Good. We also have "Students completing their 2nd semester are eligible to apply." That's implied by eligibility; we could add a note but it's redundant. Might be okay to include as a sentence in eligibility paragraph. But we already have eligibility list; we could add a sentence: "Students completing their second semester are eligible to apply." Might be good to keep. Add that sentence in eligibility paragraph. Also "Program provides a one-year opportunity for selected students to develop their knowledge and skills as a Machinist in an industrial setting." Already in About the role. "A trainee will receive college credit towards their Associate of Applied Science degree at NSCC, VHCC or TCAT for completion of this program" included. "Completion of this program is one of the requirements for consideration for possible future employment as an Eastman Machinist apprentice" included. "Upon completion of the Machinist trainee assignment the student will have been exposed to a variety of tools used to fabricate and repair various parts used in the manufacturing process at the Kingsport site" maybe covered by responsibilities but we could add a sentence in About the role. "The student will be closely supervised and mentored on a daily basis with the goal of providing a hands-on learning environment" included. "The trainee program duration is 12 months." included. We need to ensure we didn't miss any substantive info: Posting Dates, program duration, college credit, etc. All there. Check for any mention of "May operate shop equipment with proper training. (i.e., band saw, drill press, grinder, belt sander, lathe, milling machines)" we included. "May cut or burn metals with close direction and supervision" included. "Perform basic shop math" included. "Read blueprints and shop sketches" included. "Utilize measuring tools such as micrometers, dial calipers and dial indicators" included. "Maintain housekeeping and cleanup during and after completion of maintenance work" included. "May perform other duties as required to ensure efficient completion of maintenance assignments, such as obtaining materials, parts or tools, operation of a lift truck or company vehicle, etc." included. "Assist skilled craft workers in installation, troubleshooting and repair of electrical equipment and instrumentation where specialized training and experience is not required" included. "May assist in pulling electrical cable or other wiring, and other assignments of routine nature" included. "May perform routine instrument calibrations, including checking the instrument calibration and making routine calibrations such as zeroing the instrument or minor span adjustments" included. "Share the responsibility for managing team business within defined boundaries and guidelines" included. "Interact with others (team members, supervision, customers, etc.) in an empowering manner to share team leadership and establish and carry out appropriate team processes" included. "Trainees are evaluated on: Safety, teamwork, job knowledge, learning speed, leadership qualities, output, productivity and dependability" This is a substantive piece not yet included. We need to add that under Requirements or maybe a separate section like Evaluation. Could add a bullet under Requirements: "Trainees are evaluated on safety, teamwork, job knowledge, learning speed, leadership qualities, output, productivity, and dependability." Add that. Also "Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED is required." Already. "Must be a recent graduate (within the last 2 years) or be currently enrolled and completed at least two semesters toward an Associates of Applied Science in Machine Tool Technology from NSCC, VHCC or have completed the Machinist I program at TCAT." Already. "Students completing their 2nd semester are eligible to apply." Add. "If currently enrolled as a student, the trainee must maintain good standing with their educational institution during the trainee program and/or until graduation." Already. "Candidates must be able to
