Machine Technician (shuttle Operator) - 1st Shift - Newbern, Tn

Responsibilities

• Weighing and ticketing all rack of logs
• Placing and identifying all processed meats in proper locations within the freezer
• Weighing and ticketing all combos and carries to warehouse
• Cleaning freezer walls and floor
• Rotating racks to maintain proper temperature of logs
• Taking inventory of rack weights
• Ability to make decisions and act on material to be used
• Perform various other tasks as assigned by Lead person, Supervisor or Superintendent
• Upholding the principals of SQF 2000
• Recognize product that may not meet standards
• Capable of thinking through situations and have forward thinking to resolve issues
• Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
• Willing and able to drive forklift and pass the forklift test to become certified
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Willing and able to work on and around machinery and chemicals
• Willing and able to perform tasks for periods of 8 hours on concrete floor, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting
• Willing and able to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit for a minimum of 8 hours
• Willing and able to work cycles in less than 30 seconds
• Willing and able to work in a wet environment

Requirements

• Must have 6 months of continuous employment in the last 18 months
• Preferred: at least 5 months of relevant machine operator, warehouse, agricultural, or production experience
• This location does not accept rehires

• Must be willing and able to pass a background check if required for the role
• Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
