About the Role

The Technical Machine Operator operates equipment requiring specialized training due to mechanical or technical skills. This role may involve significant operator interaction for setups, monitoring equipment, and making complex machine adjustments, primarily in Grinding (Primary Core Grinding / Secondary Friction Grinding).

Responsibilities

• Meet all requirements of a General Machine Operator (GMO).
• Perform operations in a safe manner.
• Review equipment at the beginning of each shift to ensure proper working order.
• Ensure needed materials are ready and notify supervision of shortages.
• Adjust equipment parameters as stated in the router.
• Operate equipment as specified in the router.
• Perform quality checks per the control plan.
• Complete hour-by-hour boards, documenting issues if goals are not attained and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Monitor equipment to ensure optimum running and notify supervision of any issues.
• Maintain and clean equipment before and after each shift.
• Complete operator-specific preventative maintenance procedures.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
