About the role
This position plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment during non-daytime hours. The Machine Technician Level 2 focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on a variety of machines to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency. You will collaborate closely with production teams to quickly address mechanical issues and support continuous manufacturing processes. Safety awareness is critical to ensure compliance with workplace regulations and to maintain a hazard-free environment during all shifts.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot more complex machine problems.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and prevent unexpected breakdowns.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues using appropriate tools and techniques, and execute timely repairs.
- Collaborate with production staff to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions that impact manufacturing processes.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory to support operational transparency and compliance.
- Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and company policies to promote a safe and efficient work environment during 2nd and 3rd shifts.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical certification or vocational training in industrial maintenance, mechanical technology, or a related field.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and experience working with industrial machinery.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and CMMS.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and nights on 2nd and 3rd shifts.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience with electrical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Previous experience working in a 24/7 manufacturing operation.
- Basic welding or fabrication skills.

Pay
$20.00 to $24.00 hourly
Schedule
2nd and 3rd shifts (evenings and nights)
Physical requirements and working conditions
Our manufacturing plant is comprised of enclosed office and manufacturing space. This position requires the ability to:
- Move throughout the entire facility to attend to various issues.
- Work effectively in teams across functional groups with strong communication skills and the ability to lead.
- Perform sedentary work on various computer systems.
