Machine Shop Supervisor (1st Shift)

Precision Custom Components (PCC) is seeking an experienced Machine Shop Supervisor to join our team. This is an on-site position reporting to our manufacturing facility in York, PA. This position supports 1st shift 7:30 am–3:55 pm. At PCC, you’ll be part of a skilled team that delivers high-quality, made-to-spec components where precision, reliability, and customer focus matter. Whether you’re driving results in the office or making them happen on the shop floor, you’ll collaborate across departments to solve problems, support efficient operations, and help ensure every component is completed safely, accurately, and with precision!

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily activities associated with the manufacturing machining department.
• Supervise and train the hourly workforce to meet required quality, budget, and production standards.
• Plan, coordinate, and direct machine shop activities to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and company objectives.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or trade school diploma required.
• Completion of an apprenticeship program or other related post-high school education preferred.
• Three to five years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably one similar to PCC.
• Verifiable supervisory experience leading teams in a machining environment.
• Excellent computer skills; capable of working with ERP systems and Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Working knowledge related to the manufacturing functions being supervised.
• Ability to read blueprints and have GD&T capabilities.
• Self-starter with strong leadership capabilities and skills; people-oriented to develop good supervisor-employee relationships.
• Capable of effectively supervising associates in an atmosphere where the associates are represented by a collective bargaining unit.
• US Citizenship is required at time of hire.
