Manufacturing Supervisor - 1st Shift

Our Middleville, MI location is currently seeking a 1st Shift Production Supervisor. This role is responsible for the supervision of 30-50 UAW hourly employees in a manufacturing environment comprised of fast-paced, high-volume assembly. Responsibilities Develop and lead a team to achieve operations, quality, and continuous improvement goals through training, coaching, subject area, and effective communicationsChampion the use of continuous improvement tools to reduce downtime, improve quality, reduce scrap, and achieve labor efficiency targets Implement product and engineering changes successfully Model and promote adherence to environmental, health and safety policies and initiatives Ensure safety is top priority Monitor work order progress and drives quality and timeliness of completionMaintain time and attendanceMaintain working relationship with union by following the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement Job Requirements 3+ years of Manufacturing Supervisory experience is required Experience in Six Sigma/Lean processes is required Previous supervisory experience in a union environment is strongly preferred Experience in high-volume, medium mix assembly is preferred Must feel comfortable wearing a respirator in some areas 2 or 4-year degree is preferred
