Machine/Saw Operator (Third Shift)

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts, side loaders, and other industrial equipment to move raw metal materials from inventory to metal-cutting cells.
• Ensure orderly distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies to other cells, and staging finished product for distribution.
• Inspect cut material for accuracy and defects using measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, pin-gauges, etc.).
• Contribute to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area.
• Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
• Basic math and mechanical skills.
• Experience with measurement hand tools such as micrometers and calipers.
• 1+ years’ experience operating a forklift.
• 1+ years' experience working on a saw machine or other industrial machinery.
• 1+ years' experience working in a warehouse, production, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
• Experience in the metal cutting/distribution industry is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
