Machine Repair - Off Shift

About the role

Join a global leader in OEM driveline products for automotive and non-automotive applications. This off-shift position supports a 24/7 production operation by assisting in the repair and maintenance of industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Maintain hydraulic-related technology and other support equipment.
• Perform welding tasks as needed.
• Work off-shift hours, including weekends, holidays, rotating shifts, and both scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of four (4) years of successful mechanical experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Own a complete set of standard hand tools required for production equipment repairs.
• Strong written, verbal, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, maintain positive relationships, and demonstrate courtesy and respect.
• Ability to read, understand, and apply technical manuals, prints, and schematics for troubleshooting.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test and physical.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior repair or mechanical experience with production-type equipment.
• Certified welder or Journeyman’s certification.
• Certification in design, installation, and repair of industrial hydraulics.
• Experience replacing and relocating manufacturing equipment.
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, MIMS, etc.).

Work Environment

• Exposure to manufacturing plant conditions, including temperature extremes, humidity, moving mechanical parts, electrical risks, toxic chemicals, fumes, and airborne particles.
• Required to stand, sit, climb stairs/ladders, work on elevated platforms, and demonstrate manual dexterity.
• Occasional lifting of moderately heavy to heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
• Mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toe boots, gloves, and other gear as required by OSHA.
