Machine Operator- Weekends (4th Shift)

Schedule

• Thursday & Friday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Saturday & Sunday: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM

Pay

$22.95 an hour + shift differential

General Summary

Operates as a fully participating and effective team member of a production line within the scope of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) required of this position. Monitors the performance and workflow of the production line in one or more functions, including safety, housekeeping, productivity, quality, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Operates at least one major piece of equipment on any of the packaging lines.
• Conducts minor Preventive Maintenance (lubrication, cleaning, inspections, and adjustments).
• Assists Mechanics/Line Technicians with performing Plan Maintenance.
• Performs all daily basic safety checks and observations, quality checks, checklists, and housekeeping.
• Clears equipment jams.
• Ensures compliance with the recycling process of empty component boxes.
• Utilizes computer interface panels to operate the equipment.
• Maintains equipment and performs full changeovers, washouts, and sanitizations.
• Adheres to the requirements of the SOPs and GMPs.
• Wears appropriate Personal Protective Equipment and adheres to all safety procedures as documented in the Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
• Reports safety hazards, quality, and production issues to supervision immediately.
• Participates in all job-related safety, quality, and equipment training.
• Complies with all Church & Dwight Co. Inc. policies and procedures and NJ laws.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Trains other operators as may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED required.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required.
