Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Set-up and operate a range of automatic or semiautomatic machines.
  • Work with raw materials.
  • Identify and retrieve items specified in job documentation, conduct weigh outs and maintain accurate inventory logs.
  • Evaluate and verify that production items are within tolerances and meet specifications as outlined in job documentation.
  • Conduct minor preventative maintenance, adjustments and repairs.
  • Maintain clean and orderly work environment.
  • Follow and suggest improvements to powder handling procedures to minimize the generation of dust, routinely clean work areas and participate in 6S initiatives.
  • Use a range of documents to perform work, such as job routers, quality documents and work instructions.
  • Must meet and maintain daily production targets (once fully trained).
  • Wear proper personal protective equipment as necessary including but not limited to: eye and hearing protection, safety shoes, lab coats, gloves, dust masks and respirators.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required.
  • May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Experience/Background: 0-2 years of relevant experience
    • Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting

    Skills

    • Machine and mechanical aptitude
    • Use of micrometers, calipers, scales
    • General computer skills

    Education

    • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
    • Combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations

    Environmental & Physical Requirements

    • Manufacturing / Non-Sedentary Requirements: Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.
    • Work may be performed in an office or warehouse environment.
    • Typically requires the ability to spend 66%+ hours each work day doing the following activities: stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, or climb.
    • May have possible exposure to dust, and may require the ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds 33% - 66% of the time.
