Machine Operator Pivot Boot

About the role

The Machine Operator produces sub assemblies and final assemblies of ventilation and specialty products for the retail and wholesale industry. The operator operates equipment safely and efficiently, meeting quality standards and production targets.

Responsibilities

• Operates a wide variety of simple one step or one-process machines to manufacture ventilation or specialty products.
• Stays abreast of changes to the Illustrated Assembly Process sheets.
• Ensures that the work area has been set up to provide optimum safe work area and workflow.
• Maintains assigned work areas in accordance with prescribed housekeeping standards.
• Completes all required training.
• Complies with relevant documentation requirements.
• Understands normal conditions and potential problems in all assigned areas.
• Identifies basic production problems through systematic diagnosis.
• Reports abnormal conditions to the supervisor and/or team lead.
• Performs all duties, responsibilities, and job task assignments in accordance with safety and environmental procedures, methods, policies, rules and regulations.
• Is familiar with and uses correctly the appropriate personal protection equipment.
• Ensures protection features of equipment, process operations, and tools are operationally intact and applied as instructed.
• Cleans, performs basic maintenance, and makes minor repairs or specified operating adjustments to equipment.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
• 3+ months of prior manufacturing experience
