About the role
Ocean Spray is hiring Machine Operators for night shift at our Tomah Production Plant. This is a full-time, year-round position on a 12-hour 2-2-3 schedule (4:00 p.m.–4:00 a.m.), offering Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off every other week.
Responsibilities
- Maintains a constant flow of juice in appropriate directions
- Safely and competently operates and manages various machinery and equipment, completing any necessary and related paperwork and testing
- Manages inventory and enters into a database for yield calculation
- Loads and unloads tankers, assures proper chemicals are used, and completes necessary related testing and paperwork
- Performs equipment start-up and shutdown, as aligned with the facility's requirements (e.g., CIP/COP requirements using Lock-Out, Tag-Out, Try-Out)
- Keeps area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
- Maintains operational parameters and records results hourly
- Performs general maintenance on machinery as needed
- Works within established quality procedures and standards to ensure food safety
- Complies with all aspects of the corresponding facility's safety policy
- Supports other teams as needed
Qualifications
- Ability to be or become Forklift Certified
- Ability to lift up to 48 lbs on occasion
- Ability to stand, perform, and maneuver around a plant and production line during an eight- or 12-hour shift (e.g., walking, lifting, climbing, bending, stretching and reaching, squatting, crawling under conveyors, using ladders, vision, hearing, and may require long periods of standing and frenzied activity)
- Ability to wear and work using fall and other protection equipment (e.g., Safety glasses with side shields, steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, hairnets, rubber shoes, aprons or coveralls, smocks, gloves, and face shields)
- Ability to function as a team member and contribute to team goals
- Advanced computer skills and navigate controls screens
- Knowledge/compliance of the Plant’s good manufacturing practices
- Remain updated with the Plant’s standard operating procedures and sanitation standard operating procedures
- Adhere to the Plant’s Lock-Out, Tag-Out, Try-Out (Lock-Out, Tag-Out, Try-Out) policy/procedures
- Consistently wear proper personal protective equipment
- Good personal hygiene
- Ability to effectively communicate with others, proficiency in reading, writing and math skills
- Must be able to accomplish changeovers

Pay
- Operator 1: $23.83/hour
- Operator 2: $25.22/hour
- Operator 3: $27.46/hour
- Operator 4: $29.58/hour
- Operator 5: $29.96/hour
Schedule
- This is a full-time, year-round position on a 12-hour 2-2-3 schedule (4:00 p.m.–4:00 a.m.)
- Every other week, you get Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off
