Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain equipment and perform washouts at the end of each production run.
- Operate and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment to produce quality products according to customer specifications.
- Follow safety, GMP, and quality procedures.
- Manipulate small parts and gauges as needed.
- Set up machines at the start of the shift and perform safety checks throughout.
- Adjust machine components based on product specifications.
- Load packaging materials and stop and adjust the machine in case of malfunctions or jams.
- Troubleshoot issues during operation and inspect products for defects.
- Clean and maintain the machine, performing preventative maintenance.
- Document activities and communicate performance information to other shifts.
- Clear lines at the end of the shift.
- Complete required training, including washout training.
SKILLS & SPECIFICATIONS
- Understand and follow SOPs, Machine Priming, Basic Operating Procedures, Machine Operations, and SSPOs.
- Able to operate various manufacturing equipment in high-volume production environments.
- Able to manipulate small parts and gauges.
- Able to use critical thinking and reasoning skills to solve problems.
- Able to set up machines at the start of the shift and perform safety checks.
- Able to adjust machine components according to specifications.
- Able to load packaging materials and stop and adjust the machine in case of malfunctions.
- Able to troubleshoot problems during operation and inspect products for defects.
- Able to clean and maintain the machine, performing preventative maintenance.
- Able to document activities and communicate performance information to other shifts.
- Able to clear lines at the end of the shift.
- Able to complete required training, including washout training.
Safety & GMP Objectives
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of equipment and resources.
- Comply with all company safety and environmental policies and procedures, including OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory rules and regulations.
- Recognize and report unsafe acts and conditions in the facility and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Complete paperwork related to specific job functions in addition to quality and safety/training.
- Review and execute the Food Safety Plan and MFP Mission Statement to provide safe, relevant, tasty food products.
- Adhere to good manufacturing practices (GMPs) including proper waste disposal, attire, grooming, and hygiene.
