Machine Operator - Night Shift

Charter Steel is hiring Wire Draw Machine Operators! As we celebrate 90 years of American‑made strength, we’re looking for dedicated people to help carry that tradition forward.

Responsibilities

• Operate a wire draw machine to create finished products
• Package steel coils to meet customer specifications
• Transport coils for storage using a forklift
• Frequent standing and walking, reaching above shoulder, and lifting up to 35lbs

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
• Quick learners who enjoy working with their hands
• Strong teamwork skills and excellent attendance
• Ability to follow safety instructions and maintain high standards
• Background in manufacturing or industrial production, machining, set-up, metals industry
• Forklift experience is a plus

Pay

$26.50/hr + $2,000 sign on bonus

Schedule

Rotating 5-2-2-5 Schedule, 12 hour shifts, 5 nights on, 2 off, 2 on, 5 off
