Machine Operator - Night Shift

Charter Steel is hiring Machine Operators for night shifts in Saukville, WI. The position is a Draw Machine Operator working 5pm‑5am, $26.50 per hour with a $2,000 hiring bonus.

Responsibilities

• Operate coil upender, compactor, and payoff equipment.
• Operate hydraulic and pneumatic hand tools.
• Transport, handle, and package coils according to Material Design Sheet (MDS) requirements.
• Accurately enter production data into computer systems.
• Safely operate a forklift.
• Maintain effective communication with production and support teams.
• Follow all safety, quality, and environmental procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required (free GED Works program available if needed).
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for a full shift.
• Background in manufacturing, industrial production, assembly, machining, set‑up, or metals industry preferred.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
