Machine Operator – Multi‑Spindle Screw Machines (Davenport / Acme‑Gridley)

We are seeking a skilled Multi-Spindle Screw Machine Operator with hands-on experience running Davenport, Acme-Gridley, Brown & Sharpe, Schutte, or Tornos multi-spindle equipment. Responsibilities

• Operate, and troubleshoot multi-spindle automatic screw machines including Davenport and Acme-Gridley platforms
• Adjust cams, tooling, collets, feeds, speeds, and attachments to maintain optimal performance
• Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, comparators, and gauges
• Read and interpret blueprints, job travelers, and process sheets
• Maintain machine cleanliness, lubrication, and basic preventive maintenance
• Collaborate with supervisors, setup technicians, and quality teams to ensure part accuracy and production efficiency

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience operating multi-spindle screw machines (Davenport, Acme-Gridley, Schütte, Tornos, or equivalent)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of cam-driven machine operation
• Ability to perform minor setups and adjustments independently
• Familiarity with high-volume production environments
• Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement
• Ability to lift 40 lbs and stand for extended periods

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license

Skills

• Hands-on experience with multi-spindle screw machines
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Experience with cam-driven machine operation
• Ability to perform minor setups and adjustments independently
• Familiarity with high-volume production environments

Pay

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate range from $22 to $35 per hour
DOE + shift premium + comprehensive benefits
