About the role
This is an entry-level, non-exempt position that reports to the LFP Production Supervisors. The Machine Operator is primarily responsible for ensuring ROSA Strips are handled properly without damage and cut correctly.
The pay range for this position is \$17.95 to \$24.00 per hour. Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, and other factors in accordance with applicable laws.
Responsibilities
- Operate and observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of product to standards.
- Record and quantify all product cut.
- Maintain proper documentation, organize and file all working documents, and ensure proper labeling of product.
- Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) for the guillotine cutter and automatic hotel plate loader.
- Report all machine issues and out-of-specification product(s) to Supervisors.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment at all times.
- Analyze working conditions before the start of production and store end-of-day product in a cold room or desiccant cabinet for the next day’s start.
- Operate controller programs for robots and hotel plate stations.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Comply with all Charm Sciences, Inc. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Requirements
- Skilled with computers and familiarity with Microsoft Windows.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Preferred 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment as a machine operator.
- GMP/GLP experience preferred.
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Able to work under the pressure of tight deadlines.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit for extended periods, use hands to touch and handle objects routinely, use various tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
- Able to lift up to 30 pounds frequently.
- Operates machines and production equipment in a dry room with loud production equipment.
