MACHINE OPERATOR II-Sorting Operator

About the Role

Operates automatic stacking and packing equipment to ensure efficient production and quality output.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and calibrates automatic stacking and sorting equipment.
• Monitors efficient operation of equipment and performs minor adjustments as needed.
• Performs quality checks on tile and completes required paperwork.
• Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.
• Follows standard operating procedures.
• Keeps work area safe, clean, and organized.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• 0–1 year of previous manufacturing/production experience.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Good record-keeping skills.
• Good listening skills.
• Ability to understand and speak basic English.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

While performing the duties of this position, the associate is regularly required to:

• Stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms.
• Walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Occasionally sit, climb, or balance.
• Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Use close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.

The associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, and may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures.
