Responsibilities
- Operates assigned machines, including resistance welding, brake presses, and mechanical power presses.
- Operates saws, drills, and grinders.
- Consistently meets production requirements.
- Maintains clean and safe work area.
- Packs finished materials into dunnage and loads/unloads materials.
- Checks that the finished workpiece conforms to specifications.
- Completes documentation correctly for process monitors and production tickets.
- Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions and may fix issues during the shift.
Work Environment
- Typically located in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors that may cause noticeable discomfort or moderate risk of accident or illness, such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes.
- Requires intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion, including walking, standing, stooping, climbing, and lifting or maneuvering material/equipment that may be heavy (50+ pounds) or awkward.
- No travel required.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
- 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.
- Ability to read and understand all safety operating procedures and use safety features/equipment.
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, counting, and use of a tape measure.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of related experience.
