About the role
We are seeking a Machine Operator to join our Indianapolis production team. The role involves operating plastics machine equipment, following safety and quality standards, and supporting daily production goals.
Responsibilities
- Operate plastics machine equipment and follow established work instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards during each shift.
- Load, unload, sort, stage, and move raw materials, components, and finished goods through the production process.
- Inspect in-process and completed plastic parts for quality, dimensions, defects, and conformance to specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow site procedures for material handling, storage, and disposal.
- Support daily production goals by meeting assigned productivity targets and adjusting to changing manufacturing priorities as needed.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience.
- Ability to use basic computer systems to enter, review, or track production or quality information.
- Experience operating production machinery and performing routine maintenance (1+ year preferred).
- Experience with warehouse staging and inventory systems (e.g., handheld barcode scanners, basic WMS).
- Completed safety training such as OSHA-10 or equivalent and demonstrated ability to follow safety procedures.
How You’ll Work
- Rotating 1st shift 7a-7p / 3rd shift Mon-Fri 12a-8a.
- Eligible to earn shift differential pay when working second shift, third shift, or weekend day schedules.
- This role requires flexibility to work overtime, including weekends and holidays.
- This role requires frequent moving and/or carrying of materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- This role requires the ability to stand for a majority of the shift; safely lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds; lift above your shoulders; and climb, squat, kneel, twist, push, and bend frequently during each shift.
