Machine Operator (Frame Cell Operator)

About the role

As a Frame Cell Operator for Allegion, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machines and operating systems to ensure operations are running smoothly. You will set up and operate machines in a safe manner per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), set up and operate multiple pieces of equipment including a press brake for notching and forming, OBI press, tappers, resistance welder, operate forklift as needed, and perform preventative maintenance tasks when necessary. You will also verify all operations have been inspected and completed before moving completed parts to the next work cell. You will organize and maintain all the machines as instructed by the preventative maintenance documentation.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machines in a safe manner per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
• Set up and operate multiple pieces of equipment including a press brake for notching and forming, OBI press, tappers, resistance welder, operate forklift as needed, and perform preventative maintenance tasks when necessary.
• Verify all operations have been inspected and completed before moving completed parts to the next work cell.
• Organize and maintain all the machines as instructed by the preventative maintenance documentation.

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude and a broad knowledge of machining techniques.
• Familiarity with and understanding of program formats involving combinations of operations such as profile and contour milling, boring, recessing, turning, drilling, threading, etc.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Ability to handle complex issues and problems.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience is preferred, however, we will support you in your training and development!
• Team player attitude.

Skills

• Strong mechanical skills.
• Computer numerically controlled machine tool operating procedures knowledge.
• Preventative maintenance documentation understanding.

Pay

$18.44 per hour for 1st SHIFT.
