Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • To ensure continuous operation of the flow molding process, the flow mold operator will ensure proper and accurate start-up and shut down of the flow mold extruder, cooling system functionality, and the product molds are in working order.
  • Ensures the proper raw materials are continuously loaded, this also includes weighing and adding color and other additives.
  • Can detect flaws in raw materials and production equipment and possess the ability to make required mechanical or material changes to ensure quality and specifications are met.
  • Stage empty molds at extruder to fill, monitor flow and pressure to ensure proper mold is properly filled, move full mold to cooling station, disconnect mold when cooled and remove product.
  • Visually inspect finished part for defects.
  • Inspects and measures finished parts if required using various measuring devices such as scale, caliper, micrometer, dial indicator, Go / No Go Gauges, and tape measure. Records data on inspection sheet. Determines if part meets specifications.
  • Maintains accurate records of production set-ups, flow mold production data sheets, statistical process control and/or inspection report sheets.
  • Completes and submits inventory tags.
  • Follows all prescribed quality inspection requirements.

Education And Experience

Requires education generally equivalent to a high school diploma, this is an entry level position.
