Pay
$21.00/hour with a $1.50 night-shift differential.
Schedule
Monday night–Thursday night, 8:00 pm–8:00 am, climate-controlled environment. Occasional overtime.
Responsibilities
- Cover breaks as a machine operator/floater.
- Set up, operate, optimize, change over, troubleshoot, and maintain assigned production equipment.
- Meet or exceed production standards while maintaining product quality and minimizing equipment downtime.
- Sustain budgeted waste levels on a daily basis.
- Operate equipment within specified quality and quantity limits.
- Set up and debug equipment according to specifications, plant policies, and department procedures; obtain supervisor or Engineering approval for deviations.
- Maintain equipment in working order through adjustments, troubleshooting, cleaning, and repairs.
- Keep detailed equipment logs, recording downtime and maintenance issues with clear, legible handwriting.
- Perform repairs within capability and report major problems to supervisor.
- Assist Manufacturing Technician, Engineering, and Maintenance departments with major repairs.
- Conduct preventive maintenance as specified in the plant PM program or as needed.
- Start up equipment and verify proper functioning of machines and control panels.
- Monitor and replenish component inventories; ensure all safety guards are in place and functional.
- Check and clean part tracks to ensure free travel of components.
- Notify material handler when part supplies run low.
- Maintain accurate production and downtime records in logbooks.
- Keep production environment neat and orderly.
- Monitor in-process quality and address issues to prevent product holds.
- Perform and document all required quality-control checks.
- Run all required process challenges.
- Observe all safety, environmental, and Quality System Requirements (QSR).
Requirements
- Technical ability to troubleshoot and use hand tools.
- Pass an eye exam.
- Lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
- Knowledge of basic pneumatics, electrical, electronic, and hydraulic systems.
- Familiarity with proper tool use, troubleshooting, and setup procedures.
